Walker Racing has confirmed lon🎃g standing rumours that it will switch from a Reynard chassis to a Lola for the 2005 Champ Car World Series season.

Walker has used the Reynard chassis since 1995 and had ꦐbecome the owner of design rights for the company's Champ Car produ༺ct, but by the end of the 2004 the team was the only one on the grid to still be using a Reynard - with series rules making the Lola a more attractive option.

"In some respects we regret giving up on the Reynard," team owner Derrick Walker said. "It provided a good package price wise, but without some rule modifications we are forced to fac𝓀e reality and make the necessary change."

The team has purchased two Lola cars and is now working on a 𒈔program which shou🦄ld see a two-car team compete in the entire 2005 season.

"We are all looking f𓂃orward to the challenges that this change w🍬ill bring," team manager Rob Edwards added. "At least now we will not be fighting with one hand tied behind our back."

Walker ran a single car in 2004, although a second machine did appear towards the end of the sea🦩son for David Besnard 🔯and Michael Valiante.
