It's amazing how not ha𝄹ving a main sponsor can focus the mind, and that certainly seems to be the case for Steve Ellery of late, who came seventh in Tasmania in his newly christened and liveried Steve Ellery Racing Falcon.

Ellery, currently without a naming-rights sponsor, also finished seventh in his Ford Falcon V8 Supercar꧟ in the third race of the weekend. "We climbed up the grid steadily over the weekend," said Ellery. "It's a great result for the team and a terrific reward for a▨ll of the crew, who have worked incredibly hard."

The round was a great result for Ford. Although Marcos Aﷺmbrose did not clinch the championship, team-mate Russell Ingall won the round and six Fords finished in the top 10, with the Steve Ellery Racing Falcon being the 4th Ford home - in a very respectable 7th place.

The #31 Falcon of Steve Ellery Racing debuted new livery this weekend after losing their naming rights partner at the Gold Coast Lexmark Indy round. "The new BA Falcon blue livery looks just sensationa✤l," commented Steve, "but we're looking forward to having new partners and a new livery in 2005."

Ellery shared his perspective on the weekend: "We were 13th in both pr🔥actice sessions and tried something for qualifying that didn't give the result we wanted, leaving us 22nd on the grid. However, we knew we had good car speed for the three races and we finished the first race in 14th position."

Sunday morning warm-up saw the #31 Falcon fourth fastest at one stag𓄧e. "We knew we had great car speed. The team backed me up with a blistering pit stop, and we made the top ten, finishing 8th."

Ellery was quick to thank Ford, supporters for six years; his father's company, Chelgrave labour hire; and⭕ the smaller busines🦋s supporters of the team. "This is for them, and we'll continue working hard to achieve a good result for them and the team in the final round at Eastern Creek."

Steve first raced at Symmons Plains some 15 years ago in Formula Fords and was very pleased to be back in the Apple Isle after a break of five years. "The facilities here for the teams are just great," he said, "and the fans have been very friendly and welcoming. The whole team is lookin💧g forward to returning next yeaဣr."

After the third race an extremely pleased team boss, Bruce Ellery e🏅nthused, "This is a great result for a one-car teaꦓm. It showcases the sort of marketing we can achieve for prospective business partners in 2005."

It is believed the team is holdingꦬ discussions with a number of potential business partners for 2005. "We offer incredibly good value for money marketing," said Doug Rohl, the team's Business Development Manager. "We are looking at establishing long-term business partnerships, and I'm sure we'll achieve that for 2005," he said.
