Paddock rumours from Oschersleben place the Ford Motor Company as being on the brink of making an entry to the World Touring Car Championshi🌊p and going to head to head with an entry from General Motors.

Whilst Ford may have announced that its F1 arm of Jaguar Racing and engine specialists Cosworth Racing may be up for sale with immediate effect, and MSport boss Malcolm Wilson is fighting to keep Ford invloved in the World Rally Championship, the company is poised to make a works entry into the World Touring Ca🌺r Championship.

An effort in the WTCC, which replaces the European Touring Car Championship from 2005, would be considerably cheaper than either the WRC or 💖F1 efforts and keep Ford with a mo✱torsport presence.

General Motors meanwhile is bringing the Chevrolet name to Europe in a rebranding exercise fo🐎r its Daewoo arm and it too is thought to be on the brink of making an entry.
