Brown: Suggested Alonso Sonoma IndyCar appearance ‘fake news’
McLaren executive director Zak Brown has dismissed the suggestion that Fernando Alonso could miss ꦺthe Formula 1 race in Singapore in order to take part 🎃in IndyCar’s season finale at Sonoma, calling it “fake news”.
Two-time F1 world champion Alonso missed the Monaco Grand Prix to make his debut at the Indianapolis 500 back in May as part of a joint entry between McLaren, Honda and Andretti Autosport, qualifying fifth and leading part of the race before ultimately reᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚtiring with an engine failure.

However, Brown was quick to dism𒈔iss the suggestion, confirming that Alonso would be racing in Singapore as planned.
