After the 2001 NASCAR Busch🏅 Series ended, Chad Little set his sites on the winter break and the 2002 campaign, which he knew was just around the corner. While it's early, it appears the renewed focus is paying off.

"Over the winter, we are all a little more prepared for this year," said Little, who took part in a test session at Talladega Superspeedway on Wednesday. Little drives the ဣNo. 74 BACE Motorsports Chevrolet.

As for Lyndon Amick, who was also testing at NASCAR's Most Competitive Track on Wednesday, the 2002 campaign should be a breath of fresh air. Amဣick debuts in the No. 26 car owned by Dave Carroll.

"I am mo🦋re pumped about racing than I have ever been," said Amick. "I am very fortunate because there ar൲e a lot of people out of work right now and for me to have a job driving a race car I am very blessed and fortunate."

"We are going to hav🌜e a chance to win some races this year." Amick and Little will return to Alabama's famed 2.66-mile tri-oval on April 18 for John Deere Qualifying Day to set the field for the Busch Series Talladega 300 on April 20. Little placed 11th here in 2001 and Amick finished 31st.

"BACE Motorsports has had a lot of success," said Little. "They have won three championships. T♒his is kind of a regrouping y🧜ear for the 74 car. Last year we did not win a race but not sure we were really prepared to win a race." Both Little and Amick said the Talladega test went well.

"We have two good superspeedway cars and🙈 wi꧋th the three superspeedway races this year, we have had to put more emphasis on those races," said Little.

"We have been pretty good here at Talladega and I think we will be in Daytona," said Amick, who has co-owned his own team in the past with his father, Bill Amick. "So far it has been a wonderful experience for both my dad and myself. Dave Carꩲroll and Todd Lohse, my crew chief, have just been great to work with."

Amick said the 🎶No. 26 team plans to run a Pontiac at Talladega and Daytona and a Chevrolet the remainder of the season.

"Pontiac seems to be on top 🙈of their game for this kind of stuff," said Amick. "Hopefully we can learn from this test here and make it even better at Daytona."

A♛mick hopes t𒐪o bring some consistency to Carrol Racing.

"We are capable and should run in the top 10🧸 in points at the end of the year," he said. "That is a realistic goal for us and maybe win one or two, maybe even three races. This team is capable as they were close last year."
