Andretti Autosport has named Carlos Munoz as its sixth and final driver entry for the 102nd Indiana🤪polis 500 in May 2018.

Munoz, 2💮5, made his Indy 500 debut with Andretti in 2013, finishing second on debut, and spent three full 🍬seasons with the team between 2014 and 2016, recording another P2 finish in the last of his four '500 appearances for the team.

Munoz switched to AJ Foyt Enterprises fo♛r 2017ꦯ, only to lose his seat after a difficult campaign, but has been confirmed to be returning for Andretti in the Indy 500 next year.

Andretti will field its four regular-season drivers - Alexande🎀r Rossi, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Marco An🤡dretti and Takuma Sato - along with Munoz and Stefan Wilson in the Indy 500.

"I am very excited to be a part of Andret꧒ti Autosport again. The team has been like family to me since day one, when I joined🧔 them five years ago to race Indy Lights," Munoz said.

"We have been so close to winning the Ind⛄y 500 – twice with the team ꦓ– so I am especially excited to be back for that race and hopefully we will have a good result this year. I need to thank Michael [Andretti] and J-F [Thormann] for believing in me and wanting me to back in their car for the Indy 500.

"I am also excited to be back with my teammates, and I think we wi🌜ll continue to work really well together. We have six cars, so hopefully we will have a strong team working with the new [areo kit].
