Single IMU in MotoGP from 2019
From next season, the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) will no longer be exempt from the MotoGP𒁏 unified ECU system.
It's a move MotoGP Director of Technology Corrado Cecchinelli has been pursuing ever since the single software arriಞved in 2016 in ord꧂er to reduce costs, bring the performance of the machines closer and end the theoretical possibility of 'doping' the IMU to influence the ECU.
