BTCC Silverstone: Jordan receives race one time penalty
BMW Pirtek Racing's Andrew Jordan has been handed a 6.6 second time penalty for contact wi🍰th Tom Chilton during the opening Briti🍰sh Touring Car Championship race at Silverstone.
Jordan finished race one in eighth position꧅ 𝔉but has since dropped to tenth in the classification following a post-race time penalty.
The penalty comes af♋ter the title contender made contact with the Motorbase Performance Ford Focus of Chil💟ton on the lap 13 when the pair were battling for tenth position.

The penalty comes after the title contender made contact with t🥃he Motorbase Performance Ford Focus of Chilton on the lap 13 when the pair were battling for tenth position.
As a r🐭esult, Jordan's points tally has dropped by two, meaning the BMW🌃 driver now trails Colin Turkington by six points in the BTCC title race, instead of four.
Ad🐟am Morgan and Tom Chilton both profit from the ruling an🍌d move ahead of Jordan into eighth and ninth.
Points leader Turkington once again saw his championship lead cut after the defending three-time champion hit trouble earlier i༺n the race following an altercation with Adam Morgan and Rob Collard.
The Te🌃am BMW driver fell as low as 25th at one stage during race one, but managed to recover back up the order and finish i💎n 14th, scoring two precious championship points in the process.
Eight-points will cover the top-three championship order heading in෴to race two at Silverstone, with Honda's Dan Cammish also closing the gap to the top of the table following his eleventh place finish in race one.
Race two gets underway at 14:35 𝔍with race one winner Tom Ingram sta♐rting on pole position ahead of two-time champion Jason Plato in second.
Jordan, Cammish and Turkington will start from 10th, 11th and 14th respecti💜vely.
