BTCC Snetterton: Turkington moves into BTCC lead with race two win

Team BMW's Colin Turkington has 🥃moved back into the British Touring Car Championship lead after taking his second victory of the day ahead of Toyota's Tom Ingram at Snetterton.
The reigning four-time champion arrived into the penultimate weekend of the season trailing Ash Sutton by 🍬12-points in the BTCC title race. However, a💎s it stands, Turkington boasts a 7-point lead over Sutton in the championship standings, with four races left to play.
Turkington replicated his race one win by taking a fifth victory of the s🌳eason in race two, while Toyota Gazoo Racing UK driv🍷er Ingram and Laser Tools Racing's Sutton completed the podium order in second and third.
Sutton took advantage of a late safety car period෴ to minimise the points deficit to Turkington by snatching a podium finish in third.
A heavy shunt for Team HARD's Jack Goff 💦brought out the safety car towards the end of the race and Sutton was able to move into third at the expense of Motorbase Performance's Rory Butc🌺her.
Butcher made a play for Ingram's second position on the final lap of the race, but ultimately fell ꦿbehind Sutton and out of the podium placings.
MB Motorsport's Jake Hill ended a frenetic final lap in fifth, ahead of title contender Dan Cammish in sixth. Like But🐲cher, Cammish also lost out when trying to make a place up the orde꧒r after the Honda driver made contact with the Motorbase Performance Ford Focus.
BTC Racing's Josh Cook was seventh, whil✱e Ollie Jackson, Adam Morgan and Chris Smiley completed the remainder of the top-ten order.
