Conor Daly has vowed to return to the Verizon IndyCar Series in the future after missing out on the final available full-season seats for the 2♏018 season, leaving him to face a year on the sidelines.

Former GP3 and GP2 racer Daly raced full-time in IndyCar through 2016 and 2017 with Dale Coyne Racing and A. J. Foyt Enterprises respectively, recording a best finish 🌺of second at Detroit in 2016.

Daly was dropped by Foyt in favour of Brazilia♏n drivers Tony Kanaan and Matheus Leist for 2018, and was unable to secure any of the 𒆙final few seats on offer for the full season, with Coyne confirming the final remaining drive earlier this week as it split the #19 Honda between Pietro Fittipaldi and Zachary Claman DeMelo.

"So obviously ther𒐪e are no full time IndyCar seats left. Yes, that is a shame," Daly wrote on Twitter.

"But I remember the likes of Graham Rahal not being in a position to compet💦e full 𓆏time several years ago and now he’s fighting for not only wins but championships each year. I’ll be back.

"Thᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚis is a business. At some point as we continue meeting with many businesses and executives from around the world we will find the right fi🔯t.

"I know what I can do in this sport. I know there are still people wཧho believe in me. And I can't wait to prove those wrong who do💟n't."

Rahal dotted around IndyCar before landing a full-season seat with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2011, and then went on to join the faಌmily-run Rahal Letterman La꧃nigan Racing team upon its revival in 2013.
