Fernando Alonso believes he has a "50/50" chance of appearing ꦓat this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans as he looks to further his bid to complete the 'tඣriple crown of motorsport'.

Two-time Formula 1 world champion Alonso will make his sports car racing debut this weekend in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, acting📖 as a precursor to a possible Le Mans debut with Toyota in the LMP1 class this June.

Alonso continued his push to win the 'triple crown' by 🍰entering the Indianapolis 500 for the first time last May, and has already won the M𓆉onaco Grand Prix twice earlier in his career.

Speaking ahead of qualifᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤𒈔⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚying at Daytona on Thursday, Alonso confirmed that while plans are continuing to be formulated, nothing is completely set yet.

"It’s no secret that I would like to race at Le Mans in the future. If it’s this year or not this year, I’m stil⛦l not 100 per cent sure,” Alonso said.

“It could happen, yes - 50/ﷺ50. There are many things that you need to put tౠogether to make it happen, and we are trying to do everything we can.

“Hopefully yes is the answer, but whether it will be yes or not, you will all kn👍ow at the same tim🀅e as I do.”

Alonso has also been linked with a wider FIA World Endurance Championship programme with Toyota through the 2018/19 'super season' that could see him appear in races ꧙at Spa, Silverstone and Shanghai.

Toyota will confirm its two-car WEC driver line-up next month, with Alonso tipped to be draft💦ed in, having received permission from McLaren to do so.
