Porܫsche wrapped up the GTE man༒ufacturers’ world championship at Spa earlier this month with one race to spare in the WEC ‘super season’, ho🃏lding an unassailable lead over Ferrari’s AF Corse squad.
The ℱGerman maꦆrque will celebrate the success by changing the red trim on its pair of full-season WEC Porsche 911 RSRs to gold, as well as affixing a world champion logo to the roof of both cars. The pits of the Porsche team will also be tweaked as well to reflect this design change.
Porsche will also enter two additional cars to Le Man🌠s, bringing its entries from the IMSA WeatherTech SportsꦯCar Championship over to the French endurance classic. These will race in the design of the Brumos Racing team, which was used for the opening two rounds of the IMSA season at Daytona and Sebring.
“The gold paintwork on the two 911 RSR racers🐲 from the WEC symbolises the early win of the world title for manufacturers, which is something we’re very proud of,” said Porsche vice-president of m🐭otorsport Fritz Enzinger.
“The Brumos design is one of the most famous and popular vehicle liveries in motor racing. This year this finish celebrates its Le Mans debut. In 2018, our cars sported a special design and 𝕴yielded us a brilliant double victory at Le Mans. We hope to achieve a simil🍷ar result this year.”
Porsche is also guaranteed to clinch the GTE world drivers’ championship at Le Mans, with the #92 crew of Michael Christensen and Kevin Estre leading the sister #91🦩 team of Richard Lietz and Gianmaria Bruni by 36 points with 39 available at the season finale.
