Geneva played host for the fourth and fifth rounds o𒀰f the Junior SX Eurocup on Friday and Saturday night, where the Supercross stars of the future supported the first round of the W🙈orld Supercross GP.

Were the young gu🐓ns left intimidated after watching McGrath, Vuillemin, Tortelli and Larocco on track...? Probably, as Friday's final was not at the previous frantic level, but Satu♑rday again offered a great race to the 18,000 spectators.

Leader of the championsh♕ip after Grenoble, Antoine Meo left Switzerland still in the points lead, after consistent rides on both nights. Meo lost some points on Friday as he finished second behind his main rival Sebastien Pour♛cel, but took his revenge on Saturday by finishing second, while Pourcel was only sixth.

At Fridaওy's final, Pourcel gౠot the holeshot and was simply unbeatable; meanwhile, third placed Meo worked his way into second at mid-race but couldn't reduce the gap to Pourcel.

After his Friday victory, and eager to impress the SX stars, Pourcel was confident of claiming a dominating double - but disaster struck as he crashed in his qualifying heat, finished only seventh and getting a bad starting gate position. Still fuming, he totally missed his start in the main event andꦑ was unable to come back in the top five, finishing sixth (his worst result of the season).

Meanwhile, Italian Matteo Bonini got the main event holeshot, but it was short lived as by the end of the first lap Pierre Alexandre Renet and C🦄hristophe Nambotin had both passed him.

Nambotin had a difficult qualifying heat; having crashed and finished only seventh but unlike Pourcel he rode perfectly In the main and took the leaꦛd on lap three. However, it was not an easy race for him, as Renet and Meo pressured him for the whole race.

In the closing laps Meo overtook Renet for secon꧟d, increasღing his lead in the championship.

The final round of the championship at Amneville (thi𓃲s Friday and Saturday) will be a tense one wit𝕴h three riders able to take the championship. Meo, Pourcel and Nambotin may have nineteen points behind them, but their worst result will be taken off.

And if you 🧜do that now, the gap between them is only nine points!

So all of them have the once in a lifetime chance to go to the USA in Jan🌠uary and race the first events of the US Supercross c💞hampionship for the Pro Circuit Kawasaki team.
