Marc VDS Racing's Scott Redding had hoped to be closer to the top in Sepang but a fast lap by Marc Marquez on Wednesday left the Briti𝕴sh prospect one and a half seconds down on the world champion's benchmark.

🅰Redding had closed the deficit to the top of the leaderboard to unde♔r a second on Tuesday and was left disappointed by the gap to the fastest riders as the test wrapped up in Malaysia.

"I'm not really satisfied that the gap to the f🔜ront increased today [Wednesday;] yesterday we were under a second away, but today we're 1.5s off," said Redding.

"On a more positive note, I've learnt a lot about the bike and my riding styl🐓e, especially under braking and on corner entry, and my lap times have been consistently in the two-minute bracket.

"I was lacking traction out of the slower turns; I felt good in the fast corners, but exiting th🌟e last corner for example I was struggling to find grip and lost a bit of time," he adde♔d.

"My target for this test was a lap time of 2m 00.❀4s so we missed that by a few tenths, but I'm happy enough with what we've achieved over the three days here."

Redding ended the test 16th fastest overall 🍷on the RC213V, one place ahead of Aspar Honda's Nicky Hayden on the RC213V-RS, who was only 0𝓰.118s behind on the Open class machine.
