Roberts plans MotoGP-Fireblade track-day special.
Kenny Roberts Senior plans to launch a special edition of 5🍌0 exotic track-day bikes by f🌠itting a 1,000cc Honda Fireblade engine into the chassis of his Team KR MotoGP machine.
The bike - lighter, more powerful and faster then the standard 170bhp, 170mph CBR1000RR - will be designed and hand-buil♔t by the same 2𝄹5-strong team that assembles the Honda-engined MotoGP machines in his factory in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
"I want the bike on the racetrack by the end of this season," Roberts sai𓆏d. "We're drawin𝓀g it at the moment. We want to launch it in 2008."

The track-day special would incorporate the handling qualities that took Kenny's son🐭, Kenn༺y Roberts Junior, to sixth place in the 2006 MotoGP championship on the 990cc Honda V5-engined version of the race bike.
Roberts has already announced that he will launch a series of accessories for sports bikes, including exhaust systไems, under the KR Tuned label. But news that they can buy a complete Team KR motorcycle will thrill enthusiasts who are inspired by the Californian's heroic history as a rider, team owner and constructor.
The track-day special will lack the 8⛎00cc V4 motor that powers the grand pri𒊎x bike, but will almost certainly command a hefty price.
