Dominique Aegerter has started a fundraising♛ project to boost his Kiefer Racing team budg♈et ahead of the 2018 season as he prepares as the team’s sole entry in Moto2.
The team looked set to fold after the collapse of a takeoꦓver deal by David Pickworth but secured enough finance and a deal with KTM to keep a one-bike team on the Moto2 grid for the upcoming season. Aegerter, who joined Kiefer Racing last year, will represent the team after the tragic loss of team boss Stefan Kiefer at Sepang last Octo🎃ber and is seeking 200,000 Swiss Francs (£149,000) to help support his 2018 racing campaign.
Aegerter has described it as “the biggest sports crowdfunding project ever undertaken by a Swiss athlete” and is calling on his fans to help donate to cover the costs of racing. The Swiss rider is offering rewards fo🌃r donations which range from signed gloves to buying his Honda Type R car.
“Switzerland has an incredible tradition in motor racing and I want, with the help ♌of Swiss sport fans, to continue this history,” Aegerter said. “I am ready to give it my all. The support of my fans means a lot t💙o me and motivates me even more.”
