Morbidelli, Quartararo revealed in Petronas Yamaha presentation

Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Quartararo have both been officially presented as the riders for the n♎ew Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing team which will enter MotoGP from next year.

Earlier this season it was confirmed Sepang would run a new satellite Yamaha squad following Tech 3’s move to KT♕M machinery fro🅠m 2019.

Franco Morbiಌdelli and Fabio Quartararo have both been officially presented as the riders for the new Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing team which will enter MotoGP from next year.

Earlier this season it was confirmed Sepang would run a new satellite Ya🍰maha squaꦓd following Tech 3’s move to KTM machinery from 2019.

The Sepang-run squad has acquired the two MotoGP grid slots from the Angel Nieto Team, owned by former racer Jorge Martinez ‘Aspar’, and wiꦑll enter the premier class next season bolstering its involved in grand prix motorc🐼ycle racing to all three classes.

The team will receive title sponsorship backing from Petronaౠs and run by the all-new SIC 𓃲team.

At the official unvei♈ling of the squad it was also conf🍌irmed Morbidelli would join the new team from Marc VDS Honda with a 'spec A' factory Yamaha bike, while Quartararo would graduate from Moto2 as a rookie with a 'spec B' Yamaha bike. Both riders have been signed on two-year deals.

The SIC-run outfit also retains its Moto2 and M💛oto3 commitments, with Khairul Idham Pawi its sole entry in the middle class while John McPhee joins its ranks for 2019 in the lightweight class alongside Ayumu Sasaki.

Johann Stigefelt will take 𒐪;the role of team director, while Maverick Vinales' crew chief Ramon Forcada has also been linked to the project.

Jorge Martínez 'Aspar' will assume the position of Sp🌟orting Advisor to this new MotoGP♋ team.
