Andrea Dovizioso has dominated Friday practice at Misano to sweep to the top of both practice sessions for Ducati with team-m🔯ate Jorg♛e Lorenzo slotting into second place.

With Ducati locking out the top two places, Cal Crutchlow on the LCR Honda and Maverick Vinales on the Movistar Yamaha also displaced Marquez down to fifth place on 💖the FP2 times with the third of a second splitting the top five.

Danilo Petrucci also booked his provisional Q2 spot for Pramac Ducati by ending the session in sixth place despite a messy final s🔯ector of his fastest lap, while Suzuki’s Andrea Iannone crashed directly behind him on the same lap. The Italian rider’s best effort from FP1 was still enough to see him keep a place in the top 10 on the combined times.

Iannone’s Suzuki team-mate Alex Rins impressed in the afternoon session to take seventh to book his spot in the top 10 ahead of Movistar Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi, who appeared to struggle to break into the provisional Q2 spots, before recovering on his final ﷽run to jump to eighth.

Franco Morbidelli’s ninth place in FP2 was enough to see the Marc VDS Honda rider round out the top 10 on the combined times to edge out Johann Zarco for Monster Yamah🐻a Tech 3.

Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa was another to narrowly miss out in 11th place with Ducati wildcard rider Michele Pirro slotting into 12th.

Jack Miller missed out towards the end of FP2 when he crashed at the final corner with 10 minutes of the session remaining which saw him relegated to 14th behind Angel Nieto Ducati’s Alvaro Bautista.

Pol Espargaro continues to make his injury comeback for Red Bull KTM in 24th place, with team-mate Bradley Smith in 20th, while Avintia Ducati replacement rider Christophe Ponsson just a𝓰bout notched up a 107% lap time to qualify but is almost six seconds off timeshee🍬t-topper Dovizioso.
