After Repsol Honda duo Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo topped opening practice with a 1-2 this morning, both factory Ducati riders hooke🎉d up late fast laps to lockout the top two spots on the FP2 times with Petrucci setting a 1m 37.909s to beaꦜt team-mate Andrea Dovizioso by 0.097s.

The session was halted by a red flag with just under three minutes remaining after Karel Abraham crashed after losing control of his rear-end slide which sent him off on the inside of Turn 5, with Aprilia wildcard rider Bradley Smith h꧑igh-siding at the same corner just seconds later.

After an eight-minute session delay, with Smith being taken to the medical centre as a precauti𒁃on, FP2 recommenced with a number of riders producing late final flying laps to shake-up the FP2 order.

Cal Crutchlow, who led the times before Petrucci’s fastest effort, 🍨held on to third place for LCR Honda in front of Marquez with Maverick Vinales in fifth place for Monster Yamaha despite appearing visibly frustrated on track trying to hook u🍸p a fast lap.

MotoGP rookie Fabio Quartararo has con𒁏tinued to impress on the Petronas Yamaha in sixth place, having also had a faster lap time deleted due to the red flag stoppage, ahead of an eye-catching performance from HRC wildcard Stefan Bradl in seve🍷nth.

Takaaki Nakagami, the fastest rider from the November post-season test at Jerez, s🅺lotted into eighth place with Lorenzo taking ninth place with his final lap for ꦬRepsol Honda.

Francesco Bagnaia held on to a top 10 spot ahead of Pramac Ducati team-mate Jack Miller with Pol Espargaro leading the Red Bull KTM charge in 12th place.

With Andrea Iannone in 13th place for Aprilia, it saw Valentino Rossi shuffled down to 14th place for Monster Yamaha having struggled to match the top 10 pace in the closing stages of FP2, as Aprilia’s Aleix Espargaro grabbed 15th.

Americas MotoGP winner Alex Rins could only managed 16th place for Suzuki, directly ahead of rookie team-mate Alex Rins who suffered a surprise late fall at Turn ༒1 after the chequered flag had been sho๊wn.

Franco Morbidelli has ended FP2 down in 18th as his session started i༺n embarrassing fashion when he stalled his Petronas Yamaha trying to exit the pit lane.

Hafizh Sღyahrin completed just three laps in the afternoon session before﷽ he suffered a heavy fall at Turn 10 which ruled him out for Red Bull KTM Tech3.
