A challenging four days at Jerez came to a sore conclusion for Jorge Lorenzo when he fell twice during Mondayꦉ's post-race test.

Expecting to kickstart his Repsol Honda career at one of his favourite tracks, the triple MotoGP champion instead qualified eleventh and finished twelfth in Sunday's Spani🌱sh Grand Prix, 18-seconds behind victorious team-mate Marc Marquez.

While there was to be noဣ Monday breakthrough, it wasn't due to a lack of effort as Lorenzo put in 93 laps, almost four🍨 race distances and more than any other rider.

But the day was interrupted by a small crash at💦 Turn 6 just♏ before 4pm, then ended with another at Turn 7 as the flag came out at 6pm.

“Today we were able to do a lot of laps and try many things. This was import🧜ant 🍬for us as we are still trying to catch up on the time we missed testing at the start of the season. We found some interesting things for races to come," said Lorenzo.

"The day was upset bꦚy two crashes. It isn’t how we wanted to end the test with a crash. I am🅺 OK, sore but OK."

Lorenzo - who has been struggling with "the bike transferring too much weight to the front and it’s difficult for me to have enough energy in the arms" - concluded the test in ninth place. His best time was 1.087s behind faste🍌st man Fabio Quartararo, but only two tenths slower than Marquez.
