Jack Miller made headlines last week when he turned up 🔯at the Circuit de Catalunya to ride a Ducati V4 Superbike.
The appearance was with the question: 'The charismatic Australian may be looking for a factory Ducat♏i, b꧟ut where?'
So could the Australian have been showing interest in a possible switch to WorldSBK, where former MotoGP rider Alvaro Bautista is currently dominating on the race version of the V4? The answer, it seems, is less exciting: "It was ju𒁃st for training.
"There was a lot of stuff in the media that it was like a World Superbike or something. The biಞke still has a horn on it, complet🍬ely standard," added Miller, speaking at Mugello on Thursday.
"It's the same as [Rossi] does at Misano. Just go and 🌸do some laps, you know. The opportunity arose that the track was open, I could ride with the Moto2 and Moto3 guys, ꦏso why not?"
Pramac Ducati, which will again compete in a special back-and-yellow Lamborghini livery at Mugello this weekend, told ltxcn.top that both Miller and team-mate Francesco Bagnaia were given a V4 by Ducati for pr𒐪actice and training purposes.
Miller, on the podium in Austin and a race leader last time at Le Mans, has♛ his 🍒sights set on securing a factory Ducati MotoGP ride for 2020.
Peter has been in the paddock for ꩵ20 years and has seen Valent🐭ino Rossi come and go. He is at the forefront of the Suzuki exit story and Marc Marquez’s injury issues.
