Niki Tuuli makes hist𒀰ory as the first-ever MotoE pole-sitter in Superpole qualifying at Sachsenring ahead of the series debut in Germany.

The Ajo MotoE rider, who finished p🍷ractice second fastest, was the penultimate rider out on track in the Superpole one-lap qualifying format and produced a 1m 27.456s to storm to pole position for the debut MotoE race.

Tuuli, whose time would have put him in 25^th place on the Moto3 grid at Sachsenring, pushed out provisional pole-sitter Hector Garzo by 0.787s on the Tech 3 E-Racing bikℱe, with Eric Granado completing the front row for Avintia Esponsorama Racing.

Mike Di Meglio, who topped practice in Germany, narrowly missed out on the front row in fourth place for the Marc VDS EG 0,0 teaꦗm with former MotoGP rider Xavier Simeon (Avintia) in front of Matteo Ferrari 𝕴(Trentino Gresini) to complete row two.

Herrera, the first rider on track given the reverse order set by the free practice times, exited the pits too early on the Openbank🦄 Angel Nieto while Taffin was out too late and missed his pit exit for Dynavolt Intact GP.
