Petronas Yamaha riders Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli are both confident 🌼of a strong🍸 showing at this weekend's British MotoGP.

Quartararo arrives fresh from the third podium (and sixth front-row) of his rookie season, in Spie𝔉lberg, a result that has put him directly behind factory M1 riders Maverick Vinales and Valentino Rossi in the world championship standings.

As well as looking f𒅌orward to the flowing Silverstone curves, the young Frenchman will face less of the usual rookie disaꦚdvantages since no-one has yet tried the new asphalt.

"The Silverstone race will be really good for us because it’s a track that really suits the Yamaha, and we can’t arrive 🌃any better than having finished on the podium in Austri🐭a," Quartararo said.

"It’s been nice to have a week to rest and train since then, and it means that as always I’m arriving to Silverstone ready to make theꩵ best result possible. I’m feeling really confident about heading to a track with shorter straights and more corners than the Red Bull Ring.”

Morbidelli is currently twelfth in the world championship, five places behind his team-mate. The Italian is a big fan of the Silverstone track and pleased to finally make his belated race debut at the venu♉e in the premier-class, after last year's cancellation.

“I was 🍒disa🐈ppointed last year’s race was cancelled because the track is great, with something of everything," he said.

"It’s a very long lap at Silverstone, full of nice corners and it has a lot of history too. The first section of corners are a really nice dance on the bike - it leaves you full of adrenal💙ine every lap!

"I think t﷽he Yamaha will perform really well at Silverstone because our bike suits flowing corners instead of slow corners, where you have to accelerate hard on the exit.”

This weekend marks the one-year anniversary since&nbꦐsp;the formation of the new Petronas Yamaha team was officia🧸lly confirmed to the world's media with a presentation at Silverstone.
