Johann Zarco's decision to leave KTM means the door has not yet fully closed on Hafizh Syahrin's MotoGP🌳 career.

With Brad Binder signed to replace S💧yahrin at Tech3 next season, the Malaysian looked certain to return to the Moto2 class in 2020.

But with KTM short of options to take over Zarco's seat due to the two♕-year nature of most rider contracts, there has been speculation that impressive rookie Miguel Oliveira might be moved from Tech3 to the official team next season.

That would in-turn mean a space alongside Binℱder at the French team…

"I 𓂃don’t know. At the moment I didn’t speak yet with Herve about this," Syahrin said at Silverstone on Thursday.

"[Zarco's decision] was a🤡 big surprise for everybody and for sure I believe that Zarco is a good rider and also really fast. But maybe what he says is true, he needed to enjoy with the bike, ride with a smile, an💙d try to go to the podium.

"For me, I didn’t hope this would happen, but if the team asks me to remain, I would like to remain in the MotoGP class. But if I don’t have any opportunity maybe, like Luthi, I will go back ๊to Moto2 and try to do well.

"I have a few [Moto2] options, but at the moment I canno💫t ꦦsay anything."

Acknowledging the possibility that Oliveira might move to the factory squad, Syahrin added: "KTM need to make a good decision to replace Zarco and also maybe Tech3 takes 💞time to have a meeting with them if they need to replace someone going to the factory team. Or maybe they take time to speak about me. I'm not sure. I'm just waiting. Let's see what happens."

Like former team-mate Zarco, 💦Syahrin has had a tough time since swapping from Y൩amaha to KTM machinery but recognised it was a big decision to leave without anything else in place.

"I feel the same as him but what can we do? Sometimes you don’t have another opportunity," Syahrin said. "For example, from his side, the other teams have already signed their riders for two years. Some things positive, some things not posit🐟ive.

"But for me I 💯just need to say keep pushing and try to keep working hard. In the last two races we've had good speed but not a good result, but I believe in myself and just need time to understand.

"So let's see what we can do and also the rest of the season focus to finish in a goo🍃d way, a🔯t least score as many points as possible."

Syahrin has only finished in the points twice so far this season and was hospitalised after his𒆙 accident in the Reཧd Bull Ring race.

"Everything is fine. J🌊ust a few days after the crash I had a headache when I woke up. But ไnow it's okay.

After I lef🐷t hospital and went home I took two days to recover, but on the Friday I was training on flat track with Jack Miller, Fabio, some Moto2 and Moto3 riders.

"I've been passed fit to race here by the medical centre. Just my elbow still🉐 has some stitches, because they cannot take them all out yet."

One thing that can now be ruled out as far as Syahrin's future is the option of remaining with Tech3 by switching to Moto2. The French team has announced they will leave the class following KT💛M's withdraw and start a new Moto3 project.
