Marc Marquez considering MotoGP race return this weekend?

Marc Marquez is reported to be seriously considering a rꦑeturn to racing action at this weekend’s Andalucia MotoGP just three days after he underwent surgery for his fr🐈actured arm.

Reports in the Spanish – and shared by the official MotoGP website - state Marquez isn’t fully ruling out getting back on the Repsol Hond𓃲a, though the team itself has previously stated it would enter only a single bike for Alex Marquez.

The six-time MotoGP World Champion is thought to have been boosted by the news he has avoided radial nerve damage, which could have necessitat🏅ed a longer rehabilitation stint, as well as complicate matters should he fall again.

Such a return would be a huge turnaround for a rider that was facing multiple events out initially as doctors worked to stablilise the fracture – sustained in a crash late on in the Sunday’s Spanish MotoGP - but surgery performed by Dr Xavier Mir at the Dexeus Hospital in Barcelona has raised eܫxpectations of relatively minimal impact to his 2020 MotoGP title aspirations.

Even so, Dr. Mir himself says the plans remains to focus on a return for round three in Brno, with Marquez already unde𓆏rgoing recovery training to rebuild his strength.

“He’s feel🍎ing better than expected because we initially had some concerns about an injury to the radial nerve, which quite common when the humerus is injured like this,” Dr. Mir told the MotoGP website. “The truth is the nerve was very 🍌close to being damaged, but it wasn’t injured.

“This allowed us to do an open reduction and internal fixation of a𒐪 latest gen♔eration titanium plate to the right humerus that allows him to start his recovery from today.

“He started with a cold therapy with a machine that reduces the hematoma and, when the machine is not connecte𓄧d he is doing recovery work on the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand.

“The tr🦩uth is that, with no affectation to radial nerve, the door is only ♓half opened to a return at Brno. But still, there remains the possibility of him riding there.

“He is OK, upbeat, as always, with aiꩵms of competing with aims to trying to fight for this World Cha🌊mpionship”
