Argentina's Termas de Rio Hondo circuit director Héctor Farina says "we will do eve꧑rything possible to comply with the calendars we🍌 have planned, including MotoGP in November" after a major fire destroyed an estimated 80% of the paddock over the weekend.

The pit buildings, including media room, control rooms and VIP lounges, ওsuffere𝓰d the brunt of the damage, although firefighters were able save the circuit's international museum (featuring historic cars and motorcycles), control tower and medical centre.

Noဣ serious injuries have been repor💯ted and the museum is due to re-open tomorrow (Tuesday).

The cause of the fire, which began late on Frida♐y night and spread rapidly due to strong winds, is still to be cℱonfirmed, but there is speculation it could have been related to welding work.

The circuit is said to have full fire insurance, but the extent of the damage casts even further dꦗoubt on this year's Argentine MotoGP event.

Last season's gra🔯nd prix was among those cancelled due to the coronavirus and the 2021 edition has already been 'postponed' from April, alongside the US round in Austin.

After a 15-year absen🌺ce, Aജrgentina returned to the calendar with a debut at the then freshly built Termas circuit in 2014.

Marc Marquez (Honda) has🔯 won the race three times, with a victory each for Valentino Rossi (Yamaha),𒀰 Maverick Vinales (Yamaha) and Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda).
