MotoGP: Former WorldSBK rider Fores to serve as rider coach for Martin, Zarco

Ex-WorldSBK rider Xavi 🐻Fores has officially joined Octo Pramac for the 2022 MotoE World Cup, while al෴so joining Pramac Racing in MotoGP as a rider coach.
Fores spent two of the last three seasons racing for Honda and 🌸BMW in BSB (2019, 2021), while separating those two campaigns was a return to WorldSBK in 2020 with Kawasaki.
However, all three campaigns ended in rather disappointing fashion, with 2021 being by🦩 far the worst as Fores and FHO Racing BMW decided to part ways with three rounds to go.
Injuries played a significant role in Fores’ second of two seasons in British Superbike, while a congested schedule due to his EWC (Endurance World Championship) comꦺmitments was cited as another reason for the split.
Speaking about his new challenge, Fores said: "A new era is beginning in my sports career. After a difficult few months, I am happy to announce that I will ꦜbe part o♓f the Octo Pramac team in the MotoE World Cup."
Fores will be part of a two-rider Octo Pramac line-up as Kev🌸in Manfredi is the other rider to have💮 been confirmed.
Alongside his MotoE participation, Fores will serve as the official Pramac Racin🍨g rider coach to Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco.
Both Martin and Zarco demonstrated huge potential in 2021, particularly in the case of Martin who secure🍌d three pole positions and a race victory in Austria as a rookie.
Fores added: "I’m very happy to announce my partnership with Pramac Racing to be their rider 🀅coach𝓰 all season for MotoGP in 2022, working with two big names like Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco. Looking forward to starting this new chapter in my career."
