Reigning champion Marc Marquez was quicke🍰st in the 90-minute morning session, his best lap time of 1m 37.941s rem꧂aining unbeaten until the closing stages of the afternoon session, when Petronas Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo joined the Honda rider in breaking the 1m 38s barrier.
But Monster Yamaha's Maverꦛick Vinales then leapfrogged them both to finish the day on top, having been just 13th this morning.
The afternoon session was halted for 45-minutes due to an early oil leak from Espargaro's Aprili🧸a, which caused accide🔥nts for both Alex Marquez and Danilo Petrucci at Turn 11.
The Italian, just 20th fastest in the morning, required a visit the medical centre and was said by the team to be 'okay' despite not returning to the track. Around the same time as the oil spill, there was also a power cut at the circuit, perhaps due to the roasting 50-degree track temperatures.
🐟Opening p൲ractice for the Spanish MotoGP will start on Friday morning...
