The initial race was stopped due to a shocking accident for Morbidelli and Zarco, who tangled on the flat-out kink before Turn 3. Their bikes then careeℱred towards the corner, Morbidelli's machine bouncing through a narrow gap between Vinales and Rossi.

Both Zarco and Mor💝bidelli were conscious, although the Italian needed mediꦯcal assistance.

Update from Petronas Yamaha: 'Franco is okay. His right hand, right shoulder and head took the brunt of his crash but he did not lose consciousness at any point. He has undergone a CT scan, which showed that there are no major issues. Franco is currently in the Clinica Mobile undergoing minor treatments.'

After the restart, Miller took the lead on soft tyres but was caught and passed by Dovizi𒊎oso and Rins.

Rins then crashed out momen🗹ts after taking the lead from Dovizioso, who broke clear in t꧂he closing laps to win just one day after announcing he would leave the team at the end of the season.

Miller and Mir fought the flag, the Australian running wide in the final corners meaning Suzuki's Mir took his first MotoGP po🌄dium with a second pace.

Espargaro had been leading when the race was stopped, but th🅷e restart would be less kind and he eventually crashed out after tangling with KTM colleague Oliveira, who was furious.

Vinal♓es had a terrible opening lap, dropping to the back of the pack with possi♑ble bike issues.

World champioജnship leader Quartararo ran wide ♐through the gravel during the first race, meaning a recovery ride after the restart.
