TT 2018: Harrison raises bar further with 133mph lap

Dean Harrison was in sensational form as he unofficially shattered the Superbike lap record during practice at the Isle of M👍an TT on Tuesday.

Harrison clocked a searing l𒊎ap of 133.462mph as he became only the second rider to complete a lap of the Mountain Course in under 17 minutes, setting a time of 16m 57.728s.

The Bradford rider achie🍨ved the feat after a stunning lap of 133.140mph from a standing start 🌟as Harrison continued to set the pace on the ZX-10RR after leading the way on Monday.

With the sun continuing to shine on💎 the island🤪, conditions were again excellent and after a slight delay due to oil being cleared at Ballig Bridge, the session got underway at 6.23pm.

Michael Dunlop (Tyco BMW) was second quickest, setting his best lap from a sta♐nding start at 132.319mph.

Manx rider Dan Kneen set his fastest ever lap of the TT Course on the Tyco BMW to go third faste🦩st at 132.258mph followed by Smiths BMW rider Peter Hickman (132.169mph).

Conor Cummins was fourth as he lapp💃ed at 129.756mph on the Padgett’s Honda ahead of Michael Rutter (Bathams BMW), who clocked 129.583mph and Aussie David Johnson, who set his fastest lap of the evening at♍ 129.360mph.

Hꦿickman led the way in the Superstock times at 130.619mph from Harrison (ꦺ130.553mph) and Kneen (129.140mph).

Lee Johnston lapped at 128.288mph on the Honda Racing Fireblade to go fourth followed by Cummins🅰 (128.1💜54mph) and Hillier (128.110mph).

Ian Hutchinson (Honda Racing) was 12th a▨fter a lap of 125.196mph.

Ivan Lintin topped the Lightweight ti💮mes at 119.191mph from Stefano Bonetti (Paton) who did 118.848mph, with Adam McLean third quickest at 116.984mph on the Hanna Kawasaki.

John Holden and Lee C💞ain led the Sidecar times for the second night at 115.732mph from Ben and Tom Birchall (115.145mph).
