The Premier League clash on Friday night between the ♔Somerset Rebels and the Newport Wasps brings togethe💫r the close rivals both in search of precious league points.
For Newport it is to keep their last gasp challenge to make the 𝓡end ꩵof season play-offs - whilst for Somerset it is to keep them away from an inaugural season wooden spoon.
Newport will be without skipper Craig Watson who broke a wrist on Tuesday night in the Wasps defeat at Trelawny and bring in Isle of Wight൩'s Danny Bird as a guest replacement.

Ironically with Williams still out injured but due back in action at the weekend the Rebels bring in former Rebel Jamie Holmes into the No. 7 spo🤪t with the Devonian lining up against his parent club being a Newport asset.
The Wasps hold a 16 point advantage from the🐬 clash at Queensway Meadows back in June so the Profile Rebels need a 54 score to take all three points. This will take some doing with Soꦇmerset's highest score at home so far being 51, which they have achieved twice against Glasgow and Stoke.
Being Fr🌺iday the 13th the Rebels will be hoping that this will be unlucky for the visitors who will be fired up as they pay their third visit to the Oak Tree Arena this year. In the Premier Trophy clash back in April saw the Rebels run out 48-42 victors whilst in the Queen's Jubilee Trophy meeting on June 3rd it was a Somerset victory of 49-40 so the Profile Rebels will be all out to make it a hat-trick of wins over the Welsh side.
The Rebels will want to get back into winning ways after Sheffield stole a last gasp victory last week in what was another superb night's speedway at the Oak Tree Arena and the clash with Newport is expected to provide a close encounter.
