Scott Pruett may not be a name that immed🐲iately comes to mind for European fans when th🅠inking of sports car racing, yet his remarkable career means he cannot be missed off this list – particularly as he will race for the final time this weekend at Daytona.

Pruett, 57, sta🤪rted his racing career 50 years ago and has competed in championships such as CART, NASCAR and Grand-Am, taking 60 wins across American sports car series. His first IMSA tit꧒le arrived in 1986, and some 26 years later, he was still racking up titles.

But the time has come for Pruett to call it a day. He will once a🧜gain line up for the Lexus-backed 3GT Racing squad at Daytona in the GTD class, joining Jack Hawksworth, David Heinemeier-Hansson and Dominik Farnbacher in the Lexus RC F GT3 car, drawing the curtain on a remarkable racing career at the most fitting of vꩲenues, having won the Rolex 24 on five occasions.
