Kevin Mundy is preparing for 🍸his last full time drive with the PCR/Actron Air Racing team in the Konica Minolta V8 Super🐲car Challenge race at Bathurst.

Mundy will compete in the race at the Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 event with teammate Marcus Zukanovic, before focusing his attention on his new role as technical director at the rapidly growinꦜg air conditioning giant, Actron Air Pty Ltd.

The thirty-year old dr🐬iver said he felt his life was settling down𒆙 in more ways than one.

"My life has gone through a dramatic change in the past few weeks," he said. "I🌺 have been made Technical Director at Actron Air, hung up my full time race boots and moved in with my girlfriend Ky﷽m.

"It became impossible for me to continue racing full time as my new role commands a lot more responsibility, and to take on the Japanℱese manufacturers I need to stay on top the latest technolo🎃gy available."

Before he quits driving full time, Mundy is l🎃ooking forward to the Bathurst race, one that has been kind to him in the past.

"I am really looking forward to the Kಞonica Minolta Challenge at Bathurst," he said. "I have always done reasonably well in this race and I have a got a great car𝕴 for the challenge.

"My engine has been replaced and we will now head to Bathurst with maximum hor꧂sepower which you need more than anything to get ♓around Mount Panorama.

"I finished third in the first year of the Konica Minolta Challenge and it would be nice to finish with another podium. It would also be a great reward for the team who have done a fantastic job in giving me the best car possible over the past two years. If I can pull off a good result at this event hopefully it will stand me in good stead for a co-drive with either with the Paul Cruickshank Racing team or another team next year."

Team ow🍌ner Paul Cruickshank ༒was full of praise for Mundy for his two years with the team, and said he would welcome him back with open arms should the team compete in the endurance events next season.

"I have really enjoyed working with Kevin and the whole Mundy family," he said. "I really appreciate the trust they put in us when we first started our 🐼business two years ago an💃d this is by no means the end of the relationship.

"Kev has not had an easy job trying to combine his work and racing commitments and I completely support his decision to step back a bit and if we get a run in the endurance events next year he will probably make a guest appearance.

"Actron Air will still be involved with the team and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them in a diff🎐erent format for 2005."
