Paul ꦏDumbrell has been found gu💖ilty of reckless driving by a CAMS hearing in Melbourne.

The charge related to the incident that caused race🎉 three at Pukekohe to be red flagged and has resulted in Dumbrell being hit with a $15,000 fine and a deduction of 75 championship points.

However, despite the verdict, Dumbrell will still race in the Perth V8 400 from 6-8 May although in the Team Perkins ♒Racing #7 Autobarn-liveried Commodore instead of his usual #24 Castrol Holden.

"We acknowledge the result from the Stewards hearing but it doesn't diminish the faith we have in Paul and ♒his ability on the racetrack," team boss Larry Perkins said. "As such, we are giving him every opportunity to perform well in Perth with a fresh Autobarn car ready for competition."

P꧃erkins said it had been impossible to repair the Castrol car damaged at Pukekohe within the three-week time frame between the New Zealand and Western Australian rounds, taking into account the boat trip from Auckland back to Australia, and road tri♒p from his Melbourne workshop to Perth.
