Chadwick went into the final race of the season in prime position - winning the first race of the weekend ღat COTA - to retain the W Series title with her nearest rival, Alice Powell, 10 points back.

Starting from pole position, C🥂🍨hadwick dominated the race, winning by over five seconds to claim her fourth victory of the season.

Chadwick is part of Williams F1’s driver academy, having joined the Grove-based outfit in 2019, retaining her place as a development driver at the start of 20൲21.

The♓ British driver has enjoyed another remarkable season, finishing on the podium at ꦬall but one race this season.

Powell secured runner-up spot behind Cha♛dwick after finis✤hing sixth in the second race of the weekend.

Emma Kimiläinen finished third in the drivers’ championship after an impressive end to the season with four consecutive podium finish♛es.

Ahead of the final race of the season, Abbie Eaton and Marta Garcia had to pull out due 𝓀to injury and illnes🦩s.

In an announcement, W Series said: 𒊎W Series made the announcement: “Abbie Eaton will not compete in today’s final race of the season after suffering a T4 compression fracture during yesterday’s race at COTA.

“Abbie is in good spirits at Dell Seton Hospital where she is being treated, and everyone at W Series wishes her a s𒁃pee🐼dy recovery.”

Garcia’s absence was also explained: “Marta Garcia is unwell and will not compete in today’s race. 💝Everyone at W Series wishes her a speedy recovery.”

For 2022, the 🐲top eight in the championship automatically qualify, while the rest of the field will need to re-apply.
