Citroen concede: We were wrong to sign Duval.
Citroen boss, Guy Frequelin has admitted that it was a mistake to sign Francois Duval.
Duval, who has been replaced by Carlos Sainz for the Rally of Turkey next weekend, has had a dismal season, his one good showing coming in New Zealand, when he came home in fourth place. Apart﷽ from that though, the Belgian has struggled and his crash in Cyprus and the subsequent falling out with his co-driver, Stephane Prevot, has seemingly seal his fate.

"I can only admit I was wrong [to sign him]," Frequelin told French newspaper, L'Equipe, according to the official WRC website.
"Considering what Francois did with Ford in 2003 and 2004, it was a good choice. However considering🐻 what he has done with us since Mon♓te Carlo in January, it was a mistake."
Frequelin meanwhile refused to comment on if Duval will get a second chanc🎃e.
"I do not want to give an opinion on it at the moment, as the situation is extremely complicated♕," he added.
"I don't have anyone else in mind. I will put names [of possible candiꦿdates] on a list with a column for pros - and another for cons.
"We can though get out of the contract [with Francois] very easily considering all that has happened.🅠"
