Wales Rally GB to return to Walters Arena

Wales Rally GB will return to the world famous Walters Arena ♐Motorsport Complex this year, it has been con✱firmed.

The Walters Arena Motorsport Complex was last used for the WRC event back in 2009 and t💯his year it will host the qualifying stage on Wednesday September 12 and two competitive stages on Sunday September 16, including the final Power Stage where crucial ꦏextra points will be on offer which could decide the event's winner.

Competitors in Wales Rally GB's National Rally will also compete on the sta🐭ge on the Sunday. Spectators at all runs through ꦗthe stage will benefit from live commentary over a PA system.

"Everyone is very excited by the return to Walters Arena for the 2012 Wales Rally GB," said Andrew Coe, chief executive of International Motor Sports which organises Wales Rally GB. "The three Likes Land Rover at Walters Arena stages will provide spectators with the chance to enjoy the fast-pacꦬed thrill of international motorsport in a dedicated 1,600 acre complex, while competitors will experience a challenging mix of gravel and forest tracks.

"The venue was recen🐬tly home to its first complete national ra💃lly and we're looking forward to taking advantage of the excellent facilities on site."

The Walters Arena Motorsport Complex is owned and operated by plant hire and civil engineering business, The Walters Group. The si♏te hosts a variety of activities throughout the year, including manufacturer testing and driver training, as well as accommodating the BMW Off Road School attended by Ewan McGregor and ඣCharlie Boorman before their worldwide adventures.

In the three years since the venue was last used for Wales Rally GB, Walters Arena has undergone a series of infrastruc𝔉ture investments and is being transformed into an Eco Park, featuring thirteen wind turbines and miles of access roads, which are now available for rallying.

Wales 🐻Rally GB will be held from September 13-16 this year, the tenth round in the 2012 FIA World Rally Championship.
