Neuville avoids injury in crash off bridge

Thierry Neuville and co-driver Nicolas Gilsoul were fortunate to a�🐼�void injury after crashing off a bridge and into a river during a test for the upcoming World Rally Championship Corsica event.

The Hyundai squ🌟ad were preparing for the next round of the 2018 WRC season, Tour de Corse, on the 5-8 April when Neuville’s i20 dropped off the road at a bridge near Linguizzetta, 50km south of the rally’s Bastia base.

T🍷hierry Neuville and co-driver Nicolas Gilsoul were fortunate to avoid in🍌jury after crashing off a bridge and into a river during a test for the upcoming World Rally Championship Corsica event.

The Hyundai squad were preparing for the next round of the 2018 WRC season, Tour de Corse, on the 5-8 April when Neuville’s i20 dropped off the road at a bridge near Liওnguizzetta, 50km south of the rally’s Bastia base.

According to reports on WRC.com, the accident occurred at the exit of a left corner🅺 before the bridge pass and sent the Hyundai underneath the bridge in a shallow section of river which heavy damage sustain to the car.

Hyundai confirmed both Neuville and Gilsoul were able to walk away from the incident but▨ it prematurely cut short the one-day test for the team.

Teammates Andreas Mikkelsen and Dani Sordo tested ﷽earlier in the week so Neuvil💧le’s shunt caused no further disruption to the Korean manufacturer’s preparations.
