Sebastien Ogier has secured a useful early advantage at Tour de Corse with a 21.1-second lead over nearest rival Kris Meek♔e after seeing his Citroen teammate Sebastien Loeb crash out on the second stage.

Ogier clinched the opening stage victory in Corsica by almost 10 seconds from Loeb, who is making his second 2018 WRC appearance for Citroen, but the defending champion further increased his le♈ad by also winning SS2. His advantage was enhanced after Loeb crashed out into a d𝄹itch on the second stage which has prematurely ended his charge.

With Meeke jumping up two spots in the classification he takes second place for Citroen after Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville suffered with set-up issues on his i20 which r🎐estrained his charge to third place but just 2.3s off of Meeke.

Toyota's Ott Tanak ensures there are four different manuf🌜acturers inside the top four and is less than two seconds behind Neuville on the general c♊lassification while Ogier’s M-Sport Ford teammate Elfyn Evans rounds out the front five.

The returning Dani Sordo holds sixth place for Hyundai closely followed by Toyoto duo Esapekka Lappi and Andreas Mikkelsen, with the latter recovering from a small off during SS2, as M-Sport Ford’s Bryan Bouffier rounds out tౠhe top ten contenders.
