Evans sits 34 ꦺpoints behind Ogier in the race for this year’s drivers’ title.

Ogier ✤is going in search of his eight WRC title, while Evans’ best finish came in 2020, where he finished runner-up to his seven-time world champion teammate.

Ogier has won four of the first six events compared with one victory for Evans in Portugal.&n✃bsp;

The gap was just 11 points be🤡fore Evans’ early exit i🔴n Kenya last month.

Ne🐓xt up for WRC isꩵ Rally Estonia, with home hero Ott Tänak enjoying an impressive record over the years.

Speaking ahead of Rally Estonia, Evans is still confident he can reduce the significa🍨nt deficit to teammate Ogier in the coming rounds.

“There’s no doubt Séb has had a very good first half of the year, but there’s still a long way to go in this championship. We’re halfway through the seaso▨n and now the events are going to start coming thick and fast – we have to be ready for that,” Evans said.

“Basically, we need to get our heads down and bring the points in. We need points and the reality of that situation is that if you win a rally, that’s where the biggest difference is in terms of 25 for a win and 18 for second ꧙place.”

The 32-year old♓ is wary of Ogier’s ability to “manage the championship” from t🌌he front if he is able to build a sizable lead.

“We need to close that gap,” he added. “And we need to do that before heꦉ starts to be able to manage the championship – we’ve s💖een how Séb can do that.

“Like I said, there is still a very long way to go and we know how quickly things can change🏅 around, but we need to put some points down.”
