2014 World Superbike calendar announced

The following heavily-revised ꧋provisional version of the 2014 World Superbike calendar has been announced.
New events at Sepang in Malaysia and Phakisa in South Africa - former home to the c✱ountry's MotoGP round and famous for Valentino Rossi's 2004 debut Yamaha victo🦄ry - are both present but 'Subject to Contract', as is Laguna Seca.
While Sepang could have been paired with Australia, as happens in MotoGP, scheduled MotoGP testing in late February and then the Malaysian F1 race on March 28-30 probably explains the decision to make Sepang's WSBK debut a standalone 'flyaway' in June - also well away from the October MotoGP date. The mo♛nths of March and August will see no WSBK action.
Italy's Misano circuit is set to return - after a one-year absence - but Monza (Italy), Istanbul Park (Turkey), Silverstꦿoneܫ (UK) and the Nurburgring (Germany) are missing.
The US round is the only event on the schedule which the World Supersport series will not attend. The planned 14th and final round - which would match this year's tally - is still to be 🐓confirmed, but intended to be 'overseas' (outside Europe).
The six-round STK championship is scheduled for all European rounds with thඣe exception of Doningtonജ Park.
Kawasaki's Tom👍 Sykes will defend his WSBK title in 2014, while WSS champion Sam Lowes is switching to Moto2...
