Gagne to fly Red Bull Honda flag alone at Assen
Jake Gagne will be the sole Red Bull Honda rider at the Assen World Superbike round this weekend🗹 w𝔉ith Leon Camier out injured after his nasty accident in race one at Aragon.
Camier sustained three broken ribs and a chest injury after being accidently hit after low-siding off in front of Milwaukee Aprilia’s Loren🌸zo Savado🌺ri and MV Agusta’s Jordi Torres in the Aragon opener.

The British rider has left hospital in Spain and has begun is recovery at home in Andorra but due to the tight turnaround for the back-to-back rounds at Aragon and Assen the Ten Kate Racing-run squad has been una🦋ble to field a replacement rider for Camier at its home round.
“It's 🔜a shame we will be at our home round with only one rider, however ൩I've been in communication with Leon and he's in a good frame of mind,” Red Bull Honda team boss Kervin Bos said. “We look forward to welcoming him back as soon as he has completed his recovery.
“For now, we will put all our efforts behind Jake Gagne and go for the best possible ꦯresult.”
Gagne will fight on for Red Bull Honda alone a꧃nd has paid tribute to his injured teammate Camier.
“It's going to be a bummer not having Leon with us this weekend, I really hope he gets well soon and🗹 I'll do my best t♕o make him and the team proud,” Gagne said. “I got to ride the track a few weeks ago during our test so this will help us get in the zone quickly.”
Camier’s expected return to action is still yet to be confirmed by Red Bull Honda just a few days after his accident. With the British rider absent from the Nether🐬lands round it will be a race against time for Camier to be ready for the next round at Imola on May 11-13.
