Eugene Laverty has confirmed he will attempt to compete at Donington Park this w🌟eekend after being satisfied with his recovery from a double wrist injury.

The Irishman has been out of action since the Imola round of WorldSBK after a high-side from his Go E🦄leven Ducati left him with fractures in each wrist.

Despite a positive road to recovery, Laverty sa❀t out Jerez and Misano with a view to getting back on the V4 R Panigale at Donington Park, which he has now confirmed despite initially expecting to miss both the UK round and the following🐟 Laguna Seca event.

“Ten days ago, I’d come to terms with the fact that I wasn’t going to be fit to ride at both Donington and Laguna Seca. But without something to aim for I felt dejected and so I began to tell myself that maybe Laguna Seℱca could be possཧible if I kept working hard. It’s an anti-clockwise circuit therefore it gives the right wrist an easier time.

“After six weeks of slo𝔉w progress my right wrist finally moved on from the acute stage and that’s when I began considering Donington too. I rode a 300cc bike yesterday and played around with my riding position to help with the pain.

“Donington will be a huge challenge physically but mentally I just can’t bear to stand on the sidelines if there’s even the slightest possibility that I can compete. I can’t silenceꦓ t𝓰he racer inside of me.”
