WorldSBK test: Michael Ruben-Rinaldi sets the pace on final day of Misano test

Having topped the first three sessions of the two-day test at the Circuit World Marco Simoncelli, Toprak Razgatlioglu lost top spot in the final afternoon of♛ tr𒐪ack time to Aruba.it Ducati's Michael Ruben-Rinaldi.
The Italian completed a lap time that came ღwithin four thousands of a second to the Superpole lap record set by Tom Sykes.
Both riders had an eventful day as they exchanged top times and also had crashes. Ri♔naldi's was at turn eight, while Razgatlioglu went down at turn two.
Rinaldi was using the new front brake calipers that both Redding and Razgatlioglu had tried from Bre⛄mbo over the course of the day, and in the closing hours put the fastest time of the two days in with a 1m 33.688s.
Like Rinaldi, Razgatlioglu was unhurt from his crash and&nbs♎p;had﷽ a productive couple of days on the whole. The Turkish rider is one of the favourites for the title, and has showed why with his impressvie consistency.
Much of the test🍒 involved trying new parts, with ܫthe aim being to improve the stopping and turning of his YZF-R1.
It was also a great day for another Y🧔amaha rider in the shape of 2021 standout rookie Garrett Gerloff, who move🅘d ahead of Scott Redding to finish third.
Gerloff was on the 2019 Yamaha bike last yearཧ and is making the jump onto the♎ new 2021 R1, so adjusting to the bike and getting a good feeling was the main objective from the test.
R🍨edding was fourth for Ducati having spent much of the test in sec💦ond place.
The former MotoGP rider was looking to do more worඣk on one🥀 specific bike today, feeling he could bring more to the team by focusing more on a particular setup.
Fifth was Razgatlioglu's team-mate Andrea Locatelli, who occupied the position for much of the day. There were big improvements made from his firs🐓t outing 𒁃yesterday compared to today and he finished just over a second off Rinaldi's time.
Rounding out the top ten were Lucas Mahias, who has shone very well for the Puccetti Kawasaki t🦋eam, ahead of Axel Bassani in seventh, Kohta Nozane, Tito Rabat and Christophe Ponsson.
