Leader of the♓ MotoGP and WorldSBK projects, Ducati Corse General Manager, Luigi Dall’Igna, believes the Italian outfit has everything it needs to claim the 2021 WorldSBK championship. 

Dall’Igna was speaking following day-one of the teams’ home WorldSBK rou𓆉nd today in Misano, as Michael Rinaldi was fastest. 

Dall’Igna is ‘happy’ with where the Aruba.it Ducati team is currently at, but also stressed that nothing is ‘missing’ with this year’s package, and that it’s down to the riders: “It’s a diffi💦cuꦬlt season for sure. There are some things positive and some that are so-so. But anyway, we’re fighting for the championship, we won some races, so we are happy. 

“Honestly speaking, I don’t think we miss anything. We ar꧒e close with Jonny (Rea), we fought with them [Kawasaki], wဣith him, last year until the last round of the championship, so I don’t think we miss anything. 

“We know for sure that we have a lot of good riders. Some of them did really well in the last two rounds; the first two rounds of the season, and we expec🦄t everybody will fight for the victory.”

There is a lot of experience within their Ducati WorldSBK ranks with riders like Scott Redding, Chaz Davies and Tito Rabat, but along with Rinaldi, the youngest ♌rider in the series Axel Bassani (21 years of age) has aꦉlready flashed his ability too, none more than today as he finished eighth fastest overall today - top five in FP1. 

Ducati have already enjoyed large amounts of success in ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚboth major championships during 2021, as Jack Miller has taken two wins for Ducati in MotoGP, along with a raft of podiums for Johann Zarco and Francesco Bagnaia, while in WorldSBK, Redding has claimed two wins from six races and sits third in the championship.
