Loris Baz will make a return to World Superbike this weekend to rep🦩lace GoEleven Ducati rider Chaz Davies. 

The Welsh rider sufꦺfered two broken ribs during a r🐟ace two crash involving Kawasaki rider Lucas Mahias and was immediately transported to a local hospital.  

With Davies declared unfit for this w🅷eekend’s round ten at Jerez, the team elected to bring in Baz who is currently on similar machinery in MotoAmerica. 

The former MotoGP (2015-17) and WorldSBK rider - as recent as last season with Ten Kate Racing Yamaha - finished fourth in his debut seas🧜on stateside.  

Speaking ahead of his return to the WorldSBK series, Baz added: "First of all I want to wish Chaz a quick recovery, it's never nice when a rider has an injury and I hope he gets 🎀back on the bike soon. 

"I thank Team Go Eleven for the opportunity given, as well as Ducati and my team in America, H♔SBK, and Ducati New York, for letting me come back to Eu🐻rope earlier than expected to be able to participate in the next WorldSBK races. 

"It was a last minute deal, I still have to fix everything 🍨to take the flight, but I can't wait t🌳o be in Jerez, a track I really like, and get on the Superbike version of the Ducati V4-R. I'll do my best and give 100% as always!"

Regarding Davies' condition, the 34-year-old is expected to be back at the season finale according to Team Manager Denis Sacchetti: "I just spoke with Chaz, he's fine, but he's angry at not being able to be with us on the track. Now his goal is to recover ꦯas soon as po✤ssible for the season finale. 

"I'm sure Loris will be able to hold our flag high. He h𒊎as already demonstrated what he is capable of. 

"He is a strong, fast rider, he has a lot of experience although he is still very young, and he also knows the characteristics of t🐲he V4-R, a bike with which he has just ra🤪ced in the American championship.
