Alvaro Bautista keeps his winning run going in the Thailand sprint race cut shortܫ by a red flag incident between Leon Camier and Thitipong Warok⛄orn.

The Aruba.it Racing Ducati rider traded passes with Jonathan Rea over the opening lap of the sprint race before gradually pulling clear until a red flag on lap si💧x prematurely ended the race early.

The red flag was caused by an incident involving Moriwaki-Althea Honda’s Camier and Kawasaki Thailand’s Warokorn at the Turn 3 hairp♔in. The Thai wildcard rider was taken to the medical centre immediately while Camier was shown walking away unaided from the incident.

With results taken from the last completed sector point, effectively the halfway through lap six, Bautista won by 1.6s from Rea with A🌳lex Lowes repeating the race one podium on the Pata Yamaha.

Michael van der Mark had to settle for fourth place for Pata Yamaha ahead of Kawasaki’s Leon Haslam and GR✱T Yamaha’s Marco Melandri.

Sandro Cortese ended the race in seventh place for GRT Yamaha with Chaz Davies in eighth for Aruba.it Racing Ducati and Toprak Razgatlioglu rounding out the points places ဣfor Puccetti Kawasaki.

Eugene Laverty d🍌id not start the sprint r🅷ace following his high speed off triggered by brake failure on his Go Eleven Ducati from the opening race.
