Marco Melandri had a disappointing race for GRT Yamaha down in 12th place ahead of Barni Ducati’s Michael Ruben Rinaldi and Honda’s Ryuichi Kiyonari, while Laverty remounted to take the final point in 15th place.
The race had a hectic start with Markus Reiterberger lining up in the wrong grid slot before clashing with Rea to send the Ge🎃rman off before the first turn. Leandro Mercado and Alessandro Delbianco also went off on the opening lap in a separate clash.
