Weather played a big part in S𓆏aturday qualifying. A heavy shower very early in the first session meant Andrews only got two laps in before the track was awash leaving him in an uncharact🎃eristic 13th position.

In the afternoon, rain effectively ended the second qualifying mid-way through just as Andrews was putting in his quickest lap of the day seeing him eventually qualify on the second row of the grid♔.

"The weather spoiled both our qജualifying sessions so we were a little lucky to line up on the second row of the grid," Andrews reported.

"I got off to a fairly good start in the race and quickly settled into a rhythm," he added. "It ende🦩d up being fairly lonely out there with a bit of a gap in front and behind me but the main thing was to pick up as many points as possible. I'm now looking forward to a𒈔 return trip to Oulton Park where I got my last podium."

Despite the 'quiet' race, team manager Pete Jennings was more than happy🍌 with the result and felt that the Mondello Park event was a huge success.

"It's been great to come over to Mondello. The organizers have gone out of their way to do everything for us and the huge croဣwds have been wildly enthusiastic," he stated. "Qualifying didn't exactly go as planned but Simon kept 🔴his head down and picked up his third fifth place finish in a row. We always knew scoring well at every round would put us up there and we're very pleased with how everything is progressing."
