In the afternoon, rain effectively ended the second qualifyinꦫg mid-way through just as Andrews was putting in his quickest lap of the day seeing himꦇ eventually qualify on the second row of the grid.

"The𒅌 weather spoiled both our qualifying sessions so we were a little lucky to line up on the second row of the grid," Andrews reported.

"I got off to a fairly good start in🐲 the race and quickly settled into a rhythm," he added. "It ended up being fairly lonely out there with a bit of a gap in front and behind me but the main thing was to pick up as many points as possible. I'm now looking forward to a return trip to Oulton Park where I got my last podium."

Despite the 'quiet' race, team manager Pete Jennings was more than hapꦑpy with the result and felt that the Mondello Park even♛t was a huge success.

"It's been great toꦬ come over to Mondello. The organizers have gone out of their way to do everything for us and the huge crowds have been wildly enthusiastic," he stated. "Qualifying didn't exactly go as planned but Simon kept his head down and pickꦓed up his third fifth place finish in a row. We always knew scoring well at every round would put us up there and we're very pleased with how everything is progressing."
